Do you really have to pick between loving God fully or loving your family? . . .

Many think that God wants their love totally. That loving God above all else is being one with God and leaving everyone else behind.

That's not so.

Love is love. If you shun one to love another, that is not love. If someone demands that you love them more than God, that is not love.

Universal love doesn't hurt anyone. Love is love, and having love in our hearts for all is what makes us one with God. The love in your heart radiates to everyone around you -- no matter who they are.

God's love is like the sun. The sun doesn't pick who to shine on. It just shines. God doesn't pick who to love. He just loves. That's how we should strive to be.

Sometimes, when one spouse decides to "find God" that "threatens" the other spouse. If she/he loves God and actually puts God first where does that leave their loved one?

Let's look at this a new way. What does putting God first mean?

Does putting God first mean you want to be one with God? God is everywhere. You already are one with God.

You can't be one with God, and not be one with your spouse. You can't be one with God, and not be one with your children. You can't be one with God, and not be one with your parents, grandparents, friends, acquaintances. If you separate yourself from others, you separate a part of you from God.

Do you want the power God's love gives you? Then you must feel the force of God's love, which is everywhere.

Think of the power of the ocean. The ocean is made of water. If you take a glass of that water away from the ocean, the water in that glass has lost its power.

Do not separate yourself from others to *give all your love to God.* God is everywhere. God is *others.* You grow stronger when you share your love with all. The more love you give, the more love you get. It's a universal law.

Know in your heart that you are one with God, therefore, you are one with all things. You don't have to pick who to love, you just have to love.

Watch your love grow. Hear the Angels sing. Feel the Angels' love pour through you as they watch you become closer with God. ^j^
