Are You Really The God Within You?

Are you really the God within you? What does that mean? . . .

I was listening to a conversation the other day, and one said "I am supposed to be able to do anything, since I have God within me."

"Right," another person answered. "When you have God within you, you can do anything. It says it in the Bible."

Their words were right, but their body language didn't back it up. Neither of the two talked as confident as the words imply.

Then, another person piped up and said, "If I can do anything because God is within me -- and I firmly believe He is -- then, why can't I balance my checkbook and still have money left over? Why can't I cure my cousin dying of cancer? Why can't I give my children the confidence they need to stay off of drugs and get good grades? There is something wrong with this picture." Everyone seemed to agree with the latest speaker, much more confidently than the first two.

I got to thinking about that. Many people voice those same doubts. What is the answer to this question? "If God is within me, why aren't I succeeding in the various levels of my life?"

God is within us, but it's what we do with Him that counts. For instance, do we try to do things we've always tried to do, and we still don't succeed? Do we blame that on God? Do we think he isn't helping us like he had promised?

Have you tried to succeed, but you didn't include God because he hasn't helped you so far, so you figured, why call on him now? You get stuck in traffic and you call on God for patience, but you're too impatient to wait for it? You want something, but you KNOW you're not going to get it, so, again, you don't call on God?

What does all this mean? It just means that, maybe you don't know HOW to call on God in the way that will get you the response you want in the way you want it.

Or how about this: God is in your heart, but maybe you don't know how to open the door for Him. Isn't it time to learn how?

There are some things you need to realize before you can actually do this. One thing is, God is of the spirit world. Not of the human world.

What does that mean? It simply means that God is spirit, we are human. And to tune into God, it's kind of like radio stations. You want to hear 107.3, but the radio is tuned to 106.1 -- or whatever.

So, how do you tune into God? You change the station. How do you do this? You relax so that you are on God's frequency.

When you are very relaxed, you can hear God easily. When you are frustrated, angry, or abusive, you cannot hear God. You are not tuned into His frequency. The dial drops from God's channel to the human channel.

To tune into His frequency, take some deep breaths and visualize a loving God. Some may have trouble with this as they don't know what God looks like. This is understandable. God just is.

So maybe in place of visualizing Him, FEEL him. Feel his love flow into your heart and on to every part of your body.

There are some who can neither see nor feel him. Some just like to listen to the Angels singing, that is their version of God.

Whatever it takes, find how YOU can tune into God within you, and practice that every day. You'll soon find that you are less and less frustrated, angry, or abusive, until it is a thing of the past and only God is your present.

When you are tuned into God, you really are the God within you. Many miracles start happening in your life. ^j^
